Eastern Area Leadership Training.

The bespoke training course, designed to bolster and support leadership training back at individual Sections, covers a wide range of subjects including the basics of leadership theory, planning, ground navigation, leadership at night and public speaking.

OC EALTT, Flt Lt Dominic Surry from Trent College CCF (RAF ), who devised the course, said: “The courses were designed to start a leadership journey from an earlier age, as soon as a cadet is eligible to attend camp. The courses progressively build towards the Air Cadet Leadership Course and include additional time to train, to absorb and to practice.”

A course deployed into the field and living from 24 hour ration packs at the end of the year so the elements add to the burden of personal organization. Working hard as a flight to put all the learning into practice alongside cadets you already know from Levels 1 & 2

Interested? Talk to cadets who have been on an EALT course and then your OC RAF or Section officers and make sure they nominate you by at least 6 weeks before the course starts. You will then be told if your nomination was successful.
